Arburg France marks 40 years with customer-focused event

Arburg France marks 40 years…

Arburg France, established in 1985 as Arburg’s first foreign subsidiary, celebrated its 40th anniversary on 5 November 2025 with customers and company management at the Arburg Technology Centre (ATC) in Tremblay-en-France. Ahead of a festive evening, around 100 participants attended specialist presentations and viewed exhibits focused on current topics in injection moulding. The anniversary underscored the subsidiary’s role in Arburg’s international expansion. Today the company is represented by its own organisations in 27 countries at 37 locations and, together with trading partners, operates a global sales and service network. The event was attended by Managing Partner Juliane Hehl, Managing Director Sales and After Sales Tobias Baur, and Vice President Sales Europe Steffen Eppler.

In a ceremonial moment, the management handed over an anniversary sculpture and certificate to Pascal Laborde, Managing Director of Arburg SAS. Reflecting on the subsidiary’s contribution to the company’s global presence, Juliane Hehl said: "Our aim of establishing a global presence with our own organisations was and still remains to provide our customers with first-class and comprehensive on-site support. We are deeply impressed by what our French team has achieved over the past four decades." She added: "Even back then, it was very important to my father Eugen Hehl to convey the image of our company worldwide through uniform appearance of the Arburg buildings at home and abroad, and of course our technology and expertise."

Customer program and technical showcases

The anniversary program combined customer insights with technology demonstrations. Presentations by Com'inject and Schneider Electric France covered practical experience with the Arburg host computer system (ALS), the arburgXworld customer portal, the Gestica control system and the "aXw Control FillAssist" assistance function. Two external contributors discussed diversification strategies in the plastics industry and potential applications of artificial intelligence in industrial settings, including related customer experiences.

In the showroom, an electric Allrounder 370 A with Gestica control moulded small plastic boxes, while a hybrid Allrounder 470 H equipped with a Multilift linear robot system demonstrated automated production of closure clips. Arburg specialists also presented the latest ALS and arburgXworld features on monitors. A highlight was a video presentation of the brand new electric Allrounder Trend, which celebrated its world premiere at the K 2025 trade fair in October. Commenting on the concept, Pascal Laborde said: "With this machine concept, we are creating a new standard in injection moulding. The new electric Allrounder Trend are quick to set up, particularly easy to operate and maintain and it can produce injection moulded parts extremely reliably and energy-efficiently. This was very well received by our guests." He added that the mix of exhibits and presentations, followed by a festive evening, resonated with customers.

French subsidiary and service scope

The French organisation has a long-standing market presence. The foundation for Arburg’s international sales and service network was laid in 1985 with the establishment of the subsidiary in Aulnay-sous-Bois near Paris, building on a trading partnership dating back to 1963. The concept of comprehensive on-site customer support has been central since the outset. Arburg has continuously expanded in the French market and is now one of the leading injection moulding machine manufacturers there. Since 2022, customers have been served from the ATC in Tremblay-en-France, where a representative cross-section of the portfolio is showcased on more than 1,500 square metres.

The French team numbers 26 employees. The scope of service includes close engagement with existing customers, development of new partnerships and initiation of projects, along with on-site service, hotline support, rapid spare parts supply and advisory services in application technology and training. Arburg France also serves customers in Algeria, Morocco and Tunisia.
