Successful trade fair appearance: BOY impresses at K 2025 in Düsseldorf

Successful trade fair appearance:…

BOY reported a successful appearance at K 2025 in Düsseldorf, where the company presented a broad selection of injection moulding solutions and automation demos in hall 13, booth A43. According to managing partner Alfred Schiffer, visitor interest and project discussions exceeded internal expectations. He said: "K 2025 was sensational and gives us hope for the future. Our expectations were far exceeded." Schiffer added that the team held many qualified discussions on all show days and received a notable number of concrete project enquiries. A recurring crowd magnet was the Electric Barista setup, pairing a BOY 50 Electric with a collaborative robot to serve fresh espressos in the company’s own sprayed Nas Eco 30 cups.

The Barista Bar concept combined mechanical engineering, robotics and coffee service to illustrate precision handling and coordinated movements in a compact cell. Head of Marketing Julia Kröll commented: "With the Barista Bar, we were able to show that cutting-edge technology and emotion go hand in hand, it was a real highlight of our trade fair appearance." Alongside live demonstrations, BOY emphasized updates to its small-tonnage portfolio and the expansion of its fully electric range.

New entry model: BOY 20 E Pro

Unveiled as the successor to the BOY 22 A Pro, the BOY 20 E Pro targets applications requiring smaller clamping forces in a compact footprint. The model features state-of-the-art servo drive technology, a redesigned exterior and a stated energy consumption reduction of 50 percent versus its predecessor. Andreas Scheideler, Head of Domestic Sales, noted strong initial market feedback: "The machine was very well received by customers and partners alike, we see great potential here in the market segment for smaller clamping forces."

Electric range and automation

At the top end of its electric portfolio, BOY highlighted the new Boy 100 Electric, a fully electric 1,000 kN machine. Across its electromechanical series, the company points to several process advantages, including dosing parallel to mould movements, highly dynamic injection, parallel movements during ejection and high positioning accuracy. The machines provide a lubricant-free mould installation area and maintain a compact design, addressing efficiency and cleanliness requirements in production environments.

Automation was shown through the integration of the LR 5 robot into the Procan Alpha 6 control system. According to BOY, the exhibit underlined the user-friendliness and compact design of its system solutions, an aspect that drew repeated attention from visitors assessing both space utilization and operator interfaces.

Scope of exhibits and takeaway

BOY fielded nine exhibits at its own booth and seven additional machines on partner stands, offering a practical cross-section of the company’s current portfolio. The mix of technical highlights, hands-on demonstrations and continuous customer meetings framed the show outcome. As summarized by Schiffer, the combination of qualified discussions and visible interest in new models and automation options made K 2025 a positive result for the company.
