Eight free webinars organized by Sirmax and Smart Mold

Eight free webinars organized…

Sirmax (an Italian manufacturer of polypropylene compounds, engineering polymers, elastomers, circular polymers from post-consumer, and bio compounds) and Smart Mold, a spin-off company of the University of Padua which is 50% owned by Sirmax, will be offering a series of webinars titled Advances in the numerical simulation of injection molding. The series is made up of eight sessions themed around the correct use of numerical simulation in the injection molding process, from the selection and characterization of processed material to the structural simulation of the molded component and the prediction of aesthetic flaws.

The series will kick off on Wednesday 22 March, with the first webinar titled Material characterization for the numerical simulation of injection molding. The rest of the sessions will then take place on a monthly basis until November. They will be held on Wednesdays at 10 a.m. in Italian, and Thursdays at 2 p.m. in English.

These training sessions are primarily aimed at designers and engineers who are interested in the use of numerical simulation as a design tool. However, the webinars are open to anyone in the plastics industry who has an interest in the topics covered. Sessions will be held by Giovanni Lucchetta, co-founder and Ceo of Smart Mold, Marco Sorgato, co-founder of Smart Mold, Riccardo Ivan, engineer, and Andrea Scantamburlo, engineer, who are part of the Smart Mold team.

Topics covered in the webinars can be discussed in more detail by emailing marketing@sirmax.com.
