Comexi to present flexible packaging systems at K 2025

Comexi to present flexible…

Comexi will exhibit at K 2025 in Düsseldorf from 8 to 15 October under the theme "Pioneering flexible solutions". At booth 4B31 the company plans demonstrations and technical presentations covering printing, converting and digital services. The agenda features two open sessions each day at 11:00 and 15:00: one focused on selecting the appropriate print process by run length, substrate, design and cost, and another outlining how artificial intelligence and automation are reshaping production. On 10 October at 18:00, the stand will host an afterwork gathering for clients, partners and professionals. The showcase will span high-speed flexographic, offset and digital printing, lamination with closed-loop control functions, next-generation slitter-rewinders, inline laser processing integrated with slitters, and reel handling automation. Comexi will also present digital tools for maintenance, production and operation analytics, along with cybersecurity, aiming to support process control, reliability and informed decision-making across the converting workflow.

Program and booth details

Visitors will find Comexi at booth 4B31. The daily open sessions include:

  • Decoding print technologies: a practical guide to choosing flexo, offset or digital based on job length, substrates, design requirements and cost structure.
  • The future is now: AI and automation, an overview of current use cases and their impact on production processes.

An afterwork event for networking is scheduled at the booth on 10 October at 18:00.

Printing systems

  • Comexi F1 Evolution: a flexographic press for medium and long runs combining high robustness with advanced automation, specified for speeds up to 600 m/min.
  • Comexi F4 Origin: a new generation compact flexographic press designed for short runs and labels, with speeds up to 400 m/min and enhanced energy efficiency.
  • Comexi Offset CI: central impression offset technology aimed at high print quality and recyclable packaging with competitive printing costs.

Converting and end-of-line solutions

  • Lamination: new closed-loop systems for application trolleys advance process digitalization. Automated adjustment and control of critical parameters target quality consistency, waste reduction, cost savings and productivity gains. Comexi reports it is developing highly automated laminators available for demonstration at its Girona, Spain facilities.
  • Comexi S1DT v8 slitter: a dual-turret slitter-rewinder designed for high productivity and precise finishing. With a minimum slit width of 35 mm, it addresses wrap-around applications.
  • Comexi S1DS HD slitter: a high-duty slitting solution handling rewind diameters up to 1000 mm, aimed at jumbo reels and markets such as cardboard, pet food structures, tobacco and backsheets.
  • Comexi Laser Solutions: an inline laser system integrable with Comexi slitters, enabling microperforations, easy-open features, coding and other applications for flexible packaging.
  • Comexi Reel Handling: modular automation for reel movement to increase safety, reduce manual handling and improve ergonomics and operational efficiency.

Digital services

  • Maintenance Assistant: a tool supporting predictive and preventive maintenance to minimize unplanned downtime and extend equipment life.
  • Production Analytics: real-time production data analysis to identify bottlenecks, improve efficiency and reduce line stoppages.
  • Operation Analytics: continuous monitoring of process and performance indicators to support plant-wide optimization.
  • Cybersecurity: solutions aimed at protecting industrial systems and information to ensure data security and continuity.
