Chinaplas 2026 concluded on April 24. Over four days, the event attracted 350,189 visitors, which the organizers said represents a 24.53% increase compared with Chinaplas 2025 in Shenzhen. Among the attendees were 86,440 visitors from overseas as well as from Hong Kong, Macau and the Taiwan region, accounting for 24.68% of the total and also a 26.11% increase versus the 2025 figures. According to the statement, attendees were able to see the innovations showcased, and business deals were concluded across the exhibition halls. The organizers thanked visitors and announced the next edition, Chinaplas 2027 in Shenzhen.

During the show, Adsale Group reported a cooperation signing ceremony for the CPS+ eMarketplace platform with industry organizations: Shanghai Plastics Industry Association, Zhejiang Plastics Industry Association, and Anhui Plastics Association. The material also mentioned that plastics and rubber professionals were invited to serve as overseas ambassadors for Chinaplas, supporting the exhibition’s international promotion. The program also included an interactive element described as “AI: Top Luck × Trendy Headline”, in which visitors were to take part in AI-based experiences.

Conferences, forums and themed sessions
The statement listed the Plastics Recycling & Circular Economy Conference and Showcase, where brands were to collaborate on technology exchange and business matching focused on the development of a circular economy for plastics. At The Power of Plastics Forum, industry leaders were to address breakthrough recycling technologies, smart processing of recyclates, and AI-driven digital solutions.
During the Tech Talk session, more than 40 innovative technologies were presented, grouped into five areas: Green & Low-carbon Solutions, Innovative Packaging Solutions, Automotive Plastics Solutions, Specialized & Niche Chinese Technology Presentations, and 2026 New Materials. Additives Seminar: Enhancing Sustainability and the Values of Plastics focused on high value-added additives and sustainability-oriented solutions, including approaches to the plastics life cycle in the ESG context.
The program also included Medical Plastics Connect, presented as a format providing insight into domestic high-tech materials and world-class frontier technologies by leveraging expert input and industry resource sharing. Another element was the “Smart Molding, Shaping the Future” forum, where participants were to identify growth opportunities in intelligent transformation and sustainable development in plastics and molding industry.
University cooperation and application-focused agenda
During the exhibition, the “InnoAccelerate” event was launched in cooperation with universities: Shanghai Jiao Tong University, East China University of Science and Technology, and Donghua University. According to the description, the initiative aimed to build a cooperation platform between enterprises and universities, support the industrialization of scientific and technological achievements, and strengthen innovation development in the sector.
Within Applications in Focus, seven themed forums were organized, where participants were to discuss pain points of end-user industries and seek supply-chain solutions. On day four, the “Decode Trends Forum” was held, comprising three thematic blocks: “From Aesthetics to Emotion – 2026 CMF Trends and Applications”, “Shaping & Inspiring the Future: Seminar on Innovation & Development for Humanoid Robots & Low-Altitude Aircraft”, and “Scenario-Driven Innovation: Unlocking Opportunities in Plastics and Rubber Industries”. The program also included Development Day for Campus Elites, which, according to the description, aimed to connect graduates with companies by bringing recruitment elements into the trade fair environment.
The organizers also pointed to the Product Innovation Gallery, prepared under the theme “From Products to Technology. From Technology to Products”, featuring more than 200 exhibits. The agenda also included an Exclusive VIP Factory Tour to Shanghai Fanuc Intelligent Factory Phase III, including a visit to a smart manufacturing experience center, a robot simulation production line presentation, and sharing sessions with technical experts. A Welcome Reception for Overseas Delegates was prepared for overseas delegates.
