Bio-Fed, a branch of Akro-Plastic GmbH, has introduced M·Cyclose, a product line for recyclate solutions designed to support a more sustainable circular economy. The program combines development of customer-specific recycling compounds with ready-to-use, versatile grades. In joint projects, Bio-Fed designs compounds tailored to the requirements of applications in packaging, household appliances and consumer goods. The ready-to-use materials are intended to make it easier for manufacturers and processors to integrate recyclates into existing products by providing consistent grades available with varying shares of post-consumer recyclates. This approach is positioned to help replace parts previously made from virgin materials while meeting defined property and appearance targets, including colour specifications and mechanical performance windows.
Ubq product range for injection moulding
The M·Cyclose Ubq product range targets a wide spectrum of non-food injection moulding applications. In these compounds, various matrix polymers are combined with a filler produced by the company Ubq from recycled household waste. Ubq uses patented technology to convert mixed household waste into a raw material for plastics products. Selected materials in this line use rPE recycled from used beverage cartons as the matrix, pairing post-consumer polyolefins with the Ubq filler. The compounds are intended to conserve resources and reduce the carbon footprint of components.
The materials exhibit good processability. Increased rigidity contributes to dimensional stability, while high impact resistance enables use in applications with elevated mechanical demands. All variants have a greyish, natural appearance with visible fibre structures.

Additional M·Cyclose grades
The broader M·Cyclose portfolio includes post-consumer-recycled compounds based on rABS, rPP, rPMMA, rPBT and rPET. A key focus for these grades is colourability to customer specifications. Projects with well-known customers have included challenging requirements, such as light colour targets or mechanical values in a range comparable to virgin materials.
