BW Packaging presents machinery lineup for Interpack 2026

BW Packaging presents machinery…

BW Packaging, the packaging machinery business of Barry-Wehmiller, has announced the details of its exhibit at Interpack 2026, which will be held from 7 to 13 May in Düsseldorf. At stand 6/C79, visitors will be able to discover the manufacturer's new solutions for bagging, filling, closing, labeling and end-of-line automation. The company will present, among others, Angelus can seaming solutions, Hayssen VFFS vertical form-fill-seal machines and Sleevit sleeve labeling applicators, all operated via the OpView HMI. The stand will also provide information on Symach palletizers designed for forming stable and even pallets to protect product integrity, as well as on solutions from other brands within BW Packaging, such as Arcil, Dairy Pack and Zepf Solutions.

Joint presentation of BW Packaging brands

According to the manufacturer, participation in Interpack 2026 will be an opportunity to jointly present key brands under one organization.

Denning Saum, Chief Product and Marketing Officer at BW Packaging, comments: "Interpack is an important milestone for BW Packaging as we present our leading brands as one integrated company. By combining the broad competencies of our trusted brands, we are better prepared to address real customer challenges, whether that means individual machines or fully integrated packaging lines. Wherever our customers operate, they can rely on BW Packaging for reliable solutions, specialized expertise and long-term support across the entire packaging process."

Angelus 12V Seamer: design changes focused on changeovers

One of the key exhibits at the Düsseldorf stand will be the new Angelus 12V Seamer. The machine is intended to provide the same robust construction and level of reliability with which the Angelus brand in BW Packaging's portfolio is associated, while introducing a number of design changes.

The 12V-1 model is part of the V-Series seamer range and has been redesigned to significantly reduce changeover time, improve cleanability, lower total cost of ownership and reduce utility consumption. Patented solutions for handling lightweight cans have also been implemented. The seamer is designed to run cans with diameters up to 300 (76.2 mm) at speeds from 400 to 1800 cans per minute and can be used in both food and beverage applications.

Hayssen CM Verus for high-speed VFFS bagging

Visitors to stand 6/C79 will also be able to see the Hayssen CM Verus continuous-motion vertical form-fill-seal (VFFS) machine in operation. The unit is designed for high-speed packaging of frozen food, produce, shredded cheese and snack products.

The manufacturer points to the flexibility of this machine and its stable performance in applications requiring high levels of hygiene, including wet environments. The CM Verus is equipped with the new, improved Quali-Seal+ sealing technology for polyethylene films, which is intended to enhance packaging speed and seal quality.

Sleevit Direct Feed for shrink sleeve application

Another machine on display will be the Sleevit Direct Feed (DF) Series shrink sleeve applicator, designed for fast and flexible application of tamper-evident bands or partial body shrink sleeves.

The DF Series uses a servo-driven film feed and toolless changeovers. The machine reaches speeds of up to 300 containers per minute, providing precise sleeve placement across a wide range of container shapes and materials. As with the other equipment showcased at stand 6/C79, the Sleevit sleeve applicator will be equipped with the OpView control system.

OpView as a unified interface for operators

All machines on display will feature the OpView HMI, which serves as a common user interface across BW Packaging brands.

Joe Ambrose, Director of Innovation-Controls at BW Packaging, highlights: "What makes OpView special is that regardless of an operator's experience level, they can use its modern interface to easily set up, operate and troubleshoot the machine. The system is available in multiple languages. It is a particularly valuable solution for manufacturing operations where scarcity of experienced operators is a common challenge."

End-of-line automation: Symach palletizing and Zepf changeovers

In addition to the live equipment, BW Packaging will also showcase end-of-line and changeover solutions from its Symach and Zepf Solutions brands. The Symach palletizing display is intended to demonstrate how advanced palletizing technologies can help address labor issues in the industry by increasing automation.

Symach palletizers are associated with forming stable and even pallets, which is important for protecting product integrity and improving end-of-line efficiency in food, agricultural and industrial applications.

Visitors will also be able to learn more about Zepf Solutions' toolless change parts systems, which are designed to significantly reduce changeover-related downtime. Zepf uses lightweight components and permanent stainless-steel cores, which contribute to faster changeovers, improved operator safety and consistent container handling on packaging lines.

To obtain more information about BW Packaging's portfolio of solutions, visitors will be able to meet the company's representatives at stand 6/C79 during Interpack 2026.
