TaipeiPlas 2026 will take place from 15 to 19 September at the Nangang Exhibition Centre in Taipei City. Arburg, exhibiting at stand TaiNEX1 1F, K0727, will present its new Allrounder Trend electric standard injection moulding machines in Taiwan for the first time. The centrepiece of the exhibit will be an automated application producing the "Donut-ella", a three-part USB cable winder shaped like a doughnut. As Mitchell Yang, Managing Director of Arburg Taiwan in Taichung, emphasises, the new Allrounder Trend machines equipped with the Gestica lite control system are intended to enable a fast start in manufacturing standard components by injection moulding. "The new Allrounder Trend machines, equipped with the Gestica lite control system, enable a quick start to the injection moulding of standard components. They are cost-effective, available at short notice, particularly easy to operate and can be automated with robotic systems such as the Flexlift." Yang adds that the "Donut-ella" application is intended to demonstrate the company's expertise as a provider of complete solutions and how Arburg's machine technology enables consistent quality in the efficient production of high-quality plastic parts.
According to the company, the Allrounder Trend series is designed for standard applications across various industries and is available for immediate delivery worldwide. These machines are intended to combine low capital expenditure and operating costs with ease of maintenance, thereby offering high cost-efficiency while maintaining Arburg quality standards and a globally standardised service level. All machines in this series are equipped with the new Gestica lite control system featuring an intuitive user interface and a clearly structured dashboard. Four machine versions are currently available, with clamping forces ranging from 500 to 2000 kN and injection speeds from 200 to 500 mm/s.
Allrounder Trend and the "Donut-ella" application
The application presented at the trade fair is based on the Allrounder 1000 e Trend model with a clamping force of 1000 kN. The machine produces the "Donut-ella", a doughnut-shaped product developed by students. The solution won an award in the "Pleiades" design competition, Plastic European Innovation Award for Design and Sustainability, organised by the Italian IUAV University of Venice in December 2025. Arburg then implemented this application in cooperation with partners Uniform, responsible for the 1+1+1-cavity family mould, and Ewikon, supplier of the hot runner. The application is currently being presented at trade fairs around the world.
At TaipeiPlas 2026, part handling will be carried out by a vertically entering Flexlift robot. According to the company, this system has been tailored to the requirements of customers in Asia and is available exclusively in this market.
The new Allrounder Trend standard machines can be fitted with all Arburg robotic systems.
Digitalisation and operator support
Visitors to the Arburg stand will also be able to review the practical use of digital solutions. The company will present, among other things, its proprietary ALS MES system and the arburgXworld customer portal. Arburg's MES is intended to support higher machine availability, lower scrap rates, and improved production efficiency and part quality. In turn, the tools integrated into the arburgXworld portal allow users, for example, to configure Allrounder machines, retrieve machine information, and order spare parts around the clock.
In addition, assistance and pilot functions integrated into the control systems will be presented. Their role is to actively support the operator in day-to-day injection moulding operations.
