Three R3 Sustainable Solutions masterbatch products from Ampacet are finalists in the prestigious Plastics Recycling Awards Europe 2020 in the Product Technology Innovation of the Year category. The award winners will be announced on March 26 during the Plastics Recycling Show Europe in Amsterdam.
Ampacet R3 Sustainable Solutions refers to the global circular economy mission statement: reduce, reuse and recycle and transitioning from a regional linear take, make and waste model. This will benefit Ampacet’s current businesses, customers and the planet without compromising the needs of future generations. Ampacet strives to be part of the solution rather than part of the problem of plastic waste mismanagement, over-use and other types of environmental waste.
Ampacet products are:
- ReViveTM Compatibilizer 962E, a blend of functional additives that can reduce the amount of material sent to landfills by allowing post-industrial and post-consumer barrier films to be reprocessed back into the polyolefin recycling stream.
- Odor Scavenger, a powerful wide spectrum odour-absorbing masterbatch designed for use with recycled polyethylene to neutralize odours of post-consumer recycled material and keep them enclosed inside the polymer.
- Blue Edge 226 masterbatch, featuring technology that improves the aesthetics of clear flexible rPE packaging.
All of Ampacet’s shortlisted products are part of the R3 Sustainable Solutions portfolio of innovative masterbatches supporting the global circular economy.

Open to organisations and individuals across Europe who are involved in the recycling of plastic materials, the Plastics Recycling Awards Europe are organised jointly by Plastics Recyclers Europe (PRE) and Crain Communications, organisers of the Plastics Recycling Show Europe.
