The Amut Group enhances its footprint in the Middle East

The Amut Group enhances its…

A leading Group, active in the plastic manufacturing business in Egypt, will benefit from Amut advanced co-extrusion technology.

In view of its expansion plan, the plastic processor has decided to invest in a new extrusion line for PS and PP sheets, suitable for thermoforming.

The custom-engineered solution has been conceived by Amut technical team for over 700 Kg/h of total output. The plant allows to produce a sheet with a 1,000 mm usable width, ABC layers configuration and a thickness range of 0,2-2,0 mm.

The main single screw extruder, 75 mm in diameter, L/D 52:1, is an Easy Feed model developed in-house by the Amut’s R&D department. It is an extrusion and feeding concept designed to feed up to 100% thin grind material, without reducing the hourly productivity of the plant. This combination of innovative technology and consolidated know-how results in an operator-friendly and flexible production machine. An EA 48 L/D 40:1 and EA 35 L/D 33:1 co-extruders integrate the configuration of the line. They are equipped with watercooled bush, multi-component gravimetric dosing units and gear pumps that guarantee constant and accurate flow control.

The need for a high level of automation, required by the customer, is satisfied by the thickness gauge and the die adjusted automatically. Amut’s tailor-made high heat exchange vertical calender ensures to cool down the sheet properly.

This line, featuring an intermediate sheet cutting and 3-station winding system is the right fit to produce rolls up to 1,200 mm diameter.

The supply of the extrusion plant is a continuation of Amut’s success story in the Middle East, where the group has an installed fleet of several hundred extrusion lines and equipment operating to the full satisfaction of customers.
