At this year’s K Show in Duesseldorf, MAAG Group will present an expanded portfolio of integrated system solutions for pelletizing, extrusion, filtration, recycling, and measurement and controls. From October 8 to 15, 2025, in hall 9, booth A02, the company plans to unveil product developments aimed at process stability, throughput and consistent pellet quality across virgin polymer, recycling and compounding applications. Announcements include the compact Pearlo CS underwater pelletizing unit, the next-generation NG-USG underwater strand pelletizer, the semi-automated EBG dry cut strand system, the extrex⁶ EC gear pump engineered for rigid PVC, a double-stage melt filtration setup that combines BRF and ERF technologies, and the curved continuous screen changer CSC-R-DV with an integrated start-up position. For PET and high-throughput lines, Maag highlights the Pearlo 350 pelletizer with EAC technology and a new die plate, as well as the Central Injection System die plate for high-MI polymers. Beyond equipment premieres, the company has commissioned a new centrifugal dryer lab in Eagle Rock, Virginia, and since June 2025 has integrated Sikora GmbH into the Maag Group portfolio, extending capabilities in measurement, control, inspection and sorting.
“Our systems stand for innovation, quality, and efficiency. At K-2025, we will show how technical excellence and smart design are transforming the future of plastics processing.” Says Ueli Thuerig, President of MAAG Group.
Underwater pelletizing: Pearlo CS and NG-USG
The new Pearlo CS marks a milestone in compact pelletizing systems. Drawing on the established Pearlo series, it retains the tangential cutting chamber and an optimized cutter design. Offered in two sizes, it targets production scales where flexibility and efficiency are essential. “We developed the PEARLO CS specifically for manufacturers who need top-tier performance in a streamlined footprint,” explains Product Manager Rico Sandmann.

The next-generation NG-USG underwater strand pelletizing system features an enlarged rotor diameter and improved water flow to enable higher throughput and superior pellet quality. Additional sensors are designed to boost process stability, supporting consistent quality at increased performance levels.

Strand pelletizing with reduced dust
The EBG dry cut strand pelletizing system is a semi-automated solution that offers flexible process control. According to MAAG, the design aims to reduce strand breaks, achieve low moisture content and minimize dust formation, providing a reliable option for demanding applications.
Gear pump for rigid PVC extrusion
MAAG unveils a gear pump specifically designed for conveying rigid PVC. The extrex⁶ EC is presented as delivering high levels of process safety, product quality and resource efficiency. “With the extrex⁶ EC, a new chapter in PVC extrusion technology is opened.” Says Jonathan Hummer, Head of Product Management Pumps.

Melt filtration and screen changing for recycling and extrusion
For advanced polymer recycling, MAAG introduces double-stage melt filtration that combines BRF and ERF technologies. The BRF coarse melt filter enhances downstream equipment protection and supports stable operation, while the ERF fine filter is designed to secure pellet quality with minimal material loss. Together, the filters form a setup aimed at efficient, low-cost recycling processes.

The curved, continuous screen changer CSC-R-DV with an integrated start-up position is specified to deliver up to 50 percent higher throughput and energy savings, while shortening the production line. Its compact design reduces investment costs and is suited to temperature-sensitive extrusion processes.

Solutions for virgin polymers and high throughputs
For PET production, the Pearlo 350 is presented as the largest underwater pelletizing system in the range. Equipped with EAC technology and a new die plate design, it targets long tool life, precise cutting and reduced fines for premium granulate. For high throughputs and high-MI materials, the Central Injection System die plate introduces water centrally through the die plate to reduce agglomerates and improve pellet cooling.
Centrifugal dryer lab and expanded measurement offering
MAAG has commissioned a new centrifugal dryer lab as part of its Centrifugal Dryer Center of Excellence in Eagle Rock, Virginia. The lab is intended to support optimization and innovation of centrifugal dryers for virgin polymer, recycling and compounding systems, with a focus on energy efficiency, drying performance, noise reduction and application-specific knowledge. For customers, the facility can be utilized for drying tests up to 72,000 kg per hour.
Since June 2025, Sikora GmbH has joined the MAAG Group. Sikora will present measurement, control, inspection and sorting technologies for quality control in the plastics industry at K Show in hall 10, booth F14.
