Sirmax increases compounding capacity in Poland

Sirmax increases compounding… Sirmax has invested in increased productive capacity at its Kutno, Poland plant. Capacity has increase by 8.000 tons/year thanks to the addition of a new Coperion ZKS 70 twin screw extruder, dedicated to glass fiber reinforced polypropylene, to meet the increasing demand from the automotive and appliance sectors.

The Kutno facility currently manufactures the polypropylene (PP) compound product families Isofil (mineral filled) and Isoglass (glass fiber reinforced ). This investment is just the last step in the history of the 50.000 m² (20.000 m² covered area) Polish facility, that has been experiencing a constant growth since its inauguration in 2006, and now reaches the total production capacity of 40.000 ton/year, further consolidating the leading market position of Sirmax in Europe.

Sirmax is a leading international supplier of plastic compounds and resins, ranked 2nd among the independent PP compounders in Europe. The production facilities in Italy and Poland are equipped with 22 twin-screw extruders (Icma, Comac, Werner), with outputs from 30 to 3000 kg/h.
