RIGK opens webinar series on PPWR compliance and circularity

RIGK opens webinar series…

RIGK is launching a free webinar series under the banner #RIGKWebinarHub. The opening session, titled "Future-Proof Packaging: How to Close the Loop and Meet PPWR Standards", will take place on 11 September 2025 from 10:00 to 11:30 a.m. CET. The online event is directed at packaging manufacturers, distributors, retailers and recyclers. Participation is free of charge and the webinar will be held in English. Registration is required and can be completed at https://www.rigk.de/en/rigkwebinarhub.

The programme will outline the implications of the EU Packaging and Packaging Waste Regulation for companies across Europe and present practical instruments spanning the plastics cycle. Participants will receive a concise overview together with concrete courses of action. Topics include packaging take-back and licensing, PPWR consulting services, certification of recycled content, design for recycling and recycling processes. The agenda also covers the procurement of high-quality recyclates for new applications by plastship. The session will conclude with a moderated live Q&A, giving attendees the opportunity to address specific questions to the speakers.

Jan Bauer, managing director of RIGK, said: "With the PPWR, a new phase of the European circular economy begins. Our aim is to inform businesses about their obligations and provide them with practical tools to successfully meet the new requirements. The #RIGKWebinarHub is designed as a platform for knowledge, exchange and networking."
