Hasco, as one of the pioneers in mouldmaking with many years of experience in cooling technology, has introduced a new modular French coupling system Z8012 for cooling circuits in injection moulds. The extension of the product range with a mono-coupling with a French profile is intended to support mould and tool designers in achieving more efficient, reliable and user-friendly coolant flow in low-temperature applications.
The new French coupling system Z8012/... has been developed specifically to meet the requirements of mouldmaking and enables stable, efficient flow of hot and cold water as well as cooling oil. This allows it to be used in a wide range of typical injection moulding applications, where repeatable thermal conditions, short cycle times and reliable cooling performance are of key importance. The manufacturer emphasises the possibility of flexible adaptation of the solutions to various cooling circuit configurations, including complex moulds with multiple cooling lines.
Maximum flow with minimal flow resistance
An important feature of the new system is the free passage on both sides of the connector, which reduces additional flow resistance in the cooling circuit. The design of the couplings is intended to provide optimum flow rates without creating additional restrictions in the medium path. In practice, this translates into more stable mould temperatures and the possibility of more efficient use of existing cooling units.
Another design element is ergonomic single-handed operation, already known from other solutions by the manufacturer. It facilitates fast and repeatable coupling and uncoupling of the connectors, which is particularly important in applications with frequent mould changeovers and the need to connect cooling circuits multiple times. The reinforced locking mechanism ensures secure closing of the circuit and thus tightness of the system during operation.
Operational safety through colour coding
In the new French couplings, Hasco has implemented a solution aimed at improving safety and transparency of the cooling circuit configuration. Plugs and sockets are available in different colour versions, and the coloured rings help to distinguish individual media circuits. This is particularly important for more complex injection moulds with numerous parallel or independent cooling lines.
The use of colour coding is intended to reduce the risk of incorrect hose connections, which in practice can lead to uneven temperature distribution in the mould, longer cycle times or quality issues with mouldings. Distinguishing the circuits by colour is designed to support both the mould assembly stage and later operation and service work.
Modular design and exchangeable sealing ring
The new French cooling coupling system is available in many connection and design variants, which enables its integration into existing mould cooling concepts. The modular structure of the system makes it possible to configure the connectors to the specific requirements of a given tool without the need for major changes to the design of the cooling circuit.
The couplings are equipped with an exchangeable sealing ring made of fluorinated rubber. This type of material is widely used in applications requiring increased resistance to temperature and process media, which helps to extend the service life of sealing elements. The possibility to replace the ring when worn is intended to facilitate maintenance work and reduce downtime of the cooling installation, thus influencing the overall service life of the connectors under demanding operating conditions.
By expanding its range of cooling components with the Z8012 system, Hasco offers a solution oriented towards precise, repeatable and efficient cooling processes in injection moulds, while underlining its experience as a partner for the international mouldmaking sector.
Hasco as a supplier of mould cooling components
In the field of cooling technology, Hasco offers a wide range of components for building cooling systems in injection moulds, including nipples, couplings, sleeves and hoses. The variety of types and connection variants within the cooling programme enables configuration of circuits for specific process requirements, taking into account the characteristics of the respective mould and the cooling media used.
In addition to supplying components, the manufacturer also emphasises the aspect of application support. Hasco points out that technical consulting is available from the early stages of cooling system design. Referring to more than 50 years of experience in cooling technology, the company positions itself as a partner for customers on international markets in the selection and configuration of cooling solutions for injection moulds.
