Husky at Chinaplas 2026 with an integrated system demonstration

Husky at Chinaplas 2026 with…

Husky Technologies has announced a significant presence at Chinaplas 2026, highlighting more than 30 years of investment in China and the Asia Pacific region. The company will exhibit on 21–24 April in Hall 4.1, Booth C24. In its statement, Husky notes that its regional footprint includes infrastructure intended to provide responsive service and support delivered by local experts, and that regional manufacturing centers are equipped with modern technologies and equipment enabling machines and tooling to be produced to high quality standards.

Robert Domodossola, President and CEO of Husky, points to the importance of experience gained in the local market: "Our longstanding presence in this region has enabled us to closely understand the day-to-day challenges and priorities of local food, beverage, consumer packaging, and medical device producers." He also added: "Chinaplas is an important opportunity for us to engage directly with customers, both existing and prospective, to listen, collaborate, and ensure our solutions are aligned with their goals as they compete in one of the world’s fastest-growing packaging markets."

Husky began building its regional presence in China in 2004 with the opening of the Shanghai Technical Center, which serves as the regional headquarters. Over the years, the company has expanded its infrastructure in China and across the Asia Pacific region to provide service and advisory support within short lead times and backed by the capabilities of local teams.

Integrated system demonstration: injection molding machine, hot runner and mold controller

Among the key highlights of the exhibit is a live demonstration of an integrated system for high-performance packaging molding. Husky reports that a 16-cavity Hylectric 400-tonne injection molding system will run at the booth, featuring an Ultra Helix hot runner system and an Altanium 6 series mold controller, producing a 100 g polypropylene yogurt cup. The stated cycle time is 3.9 seconds.

According to the company’s description, the solution is designed so that the injection molding machine, hot runner, and mold controller operate together as a single system, ensuring precise melt stream management from injection through filling. The indicated outcomes include higher throughput, consistent part quality, reduced scrap, and reliable, safe operation, which is intended to reduce both part and operating costs.

Portfolio for packaging and medical markets

In addition to the integrated system demonstration, Husky plans to present technologies, solutions and services for food, beverage, consumer goods packaging and medical markets. Listed items include HyPET 6e and HyPET NX6 PET preform molding systems for various applications and production volumes, with recycled PET processing capabilities. The company indicates that this is intended to support packaging sustainability requirements.

The announcements also include PET closure solutions, including lightweight designs, tethered closures and HyCAP SecuRE+, with reference to mono-material packaging design. Husky also mentions Advantage+Elite as a real-time monitoring tool aimed at improving overall equipment effectiveness and reducing conversion costs, as well as the regional introduction of Altanium MultiShot technology as a fully integrated multi-material molding solution.

In the area of control and hot runner technologies, the company points to the new Altanium 6 series mold controllers (Neo6, Delta6 and Matrix6), which are intended to enable faster startups, improved resin protection and optimized energy use. The statement also highlights the medical solutions offer, covering applications in parenteral, diagnostics and laboratory markets, as well as advisory services, including operational assessment and factory planning to optimize plant layout, workflow efficiency and long-term production scalability.

Calvin Pang, Vice President Sales, North Asia, commented: "Across Asia Pacific, our customers are under increasing pressure to move faster and more efficiently while meeting sustainability goals, and to achieve this they’re looking for a true partner, not just an equipment supplier." He added: "By serving this region for more than three decades we’re able to deliver tailored solutions that meet our customers’ realities, enabling sustainability, performance, value, and safety, capabilities reflected in the technology we’re showcasing at Chinaplas."

The company states that Husky experts will be available for the duration of the show in Hall 4.1, Booth C24.
