Envalior will make its first appearance at K 2025 from October 8 to 15, presenting a broad portfolio of engineering materials and application know-how across mobility, electrical and electronics, and consumer goods. At Hall 6, Booth B11, the company will also highlight its Envalior CARES sustainability strategy and a Services offering designed for co-development with customers. The exhibit brings together established brands, including Akulon and Durethan PA6 and PA66, Pocan PBT, Stanyl PA46, Tepex thermoplastic composites, Xytron PPS, Arnitel TPC, ForTii PA4T PPA, and EcoPaXX PA410, integrated into recently launched solutions.
According to Envalior, the material and service updates are intended to support shorter development cycles while meeting performance and safety targets in demanding use cases such as e-mobility, power tools, industrial equipment and packaging. "At Envalior, we not only take pride in collaborating with our customers; we work side by side with them, supporting as appropriate with advice and also testing, simulation, validation, and co-development. At K 2025, we are excited to showcase our latest product and application innovations, which help customers to improve performance while reducing time-to-market, operational risks, costs, and CO2 emissions," said Calum MacLean, CEO of Envalior.
Highlights include new flame-retardant PBT developments for high-CTI E&E parts, thin-wall stator insulation in PA46 for power tools, PFAS-free wear and friction grades, and foaming TPC grades for footwear. The company will also present bio- and recycled-based alternatives targeting lower product carbon footprints, including mass balance approaches certified to ISCC PLUS.
Portfolio highlights at K 2025
- Halogen-free flame-retardant Pocan PBT grade combining characteristic PBT properties with attributes typical of PA6 and PA66. Target applications include connectors for ultra-fast EV charging at 800 V and DC-powered systems for AI data centers. The grade offers high dimensional stability, low tendency to electrochemical corrosion and robust electrical insulation at elevated temperatures, along with hydrolysis resistance, creep resistance and elongation at break comparable to PA6 and PA66.
- Expanded Pocan E portfolio for high tracking resistance, enabling safer high-CTI components that address rising electrical and mechanical demands in e-mobility and industrial E&E applications. Materials in this range achieve the highest rating of 600 in the CTI A test, including in black formulations.
- Stanyl PA46 for very thin thermoplastic stator insulation in power tools, helping raise motor power and efficiency without increasing outer dimensions. A broader Stanyl offering for compact wear and friction parts, such as gears, bearings and seals, includes PFAS-free grades.
- Arnitel TPC with new thermoplastic copolyester foaming grades for shoe midsoles, designed for improved and longer-lasting performance. The grades are compatible with multiple foaming technologies, supporting process flexibility. Bio-based midsole options will also be shown to reduce product carbon footprints.
Sustainability strategy and circular materials
Under the Envalior CARES strategy, the company states its intent to offer an entire portfolio of bio- and, or recycled-based solutions by 2030, alongside steps to reduce the environmental impact of its operations. At K 2025, Envalior will feature materials based on sources such as used fishing nets, used cooking oil and industrial glass fiber waste. The company refers readers to its Sustainability Report 2024 for further details.
- Drop-in alternatives aimed at lowering product carbon footprint without performance compromise or major process changes. This includes new Durethan ECO and Durethan BLUE PA6 grades for E&E parts such as miniature circuit breakers and connectors, with up to 90% ISCC PLUS-certified bio-based and recycled content via mass balance attribution.
- Durethan Blue PA6-based sausage casing produced from ISCC PLUS-certified bio-circular feedstock derived from used cooking oil, characterized by a very low carbon footprint, and Arnitel TPC micro-perforated breathable film for fresh food packaging to significantly extend shelf life.
- All-polyamide, fully recyclable Type IV hydrogen storage tank made with Durethan or Akulon PA6, combined with EcoPaXX PA410 and UDea thermoplastic composite tape, addressing circularity barriers to improve life cycle assessment.
- Halogen-free, PFAS-free flame-retardant Pocan PBT grades, providing additional compliance attributes alongside electrical and fire safety performance.
