Bio-Fed, a branch of Akro-Plastic and part of the Feddersen Group, will present material solutions focused on recycling, biobased feedstocks and biodegradable end-of-life options at K 2025 in Düsseldorf from 8 to 15 October 2025. At the group’s joint booth in Hall 6, stand C76, the company highlights how it combines product performance, resource efficiency and regulatory compliance in integrated, circular propositions. Its role covers raw material selection, formulation, compounding and application technology, enabling turnkey circular solutions that address stringent industry requirements. The portfolio spans recycled compounds under the M·Cyclose line, biomass-balanced and biobased compounds marketed as M·Biobase, and bioplastics designed for defined end-of-life biodegradability within the M·Vera range. The core lines target packaging and consumer applications as well as components that demand higher mechanical performance.
Recycled compounds: M·Cyclose
With M·Cyclose, Bio-Fed focuses on compounds based on post-consumer recyclates. The portfolio includes rPE compounds sourced from recycled beverage cartons and municipal solid waste, achieving nearly 100% post-consumer recycled content. In addition, a homo-PP-based compound is available that incorporates 30% recycled household waste. The range also covers compounds based on rABS, rPP, rPMMA, rPBT and rPET. The company specializes in matching recycled compounds to exact customer colour and mechanical specifications, including light colours and properties comparable to those of virgin materials, and invites inquiries for custom-designed recycling solutions.
Biobased and biomass-balanced: M·Biobase
M·Biobase comprises biobased and biomass-balanced plastic compounds. The core offering is ISCC Plus-certified, biomass-balanced polypropylene compounds, providing sustainable material traceability throughout the value chain. Wood-filled M·Biobase PP and biobased PLA compounds produced from wood industry residues are intended for consumer goods requiring a natural wood appearance. A glass fibre reinforced M·Biobase PP variant addresses high-performance components. The line received second place as "Product of the Year 2025" by Kunststoff Magazin in the materials category.
Biodegradable applications: M·Vera
Under the M·Vera brand, Bio-Fed offers bioplastics formulated for end-of-life biodegradability. Materials are available for injection-moulded coffee capsules and are certified "OK compost Industrial" or "OK compost Home." The range includes compounds for packaging, consumer goods and applications that require transparency.
Processing and application scope
Bio-Fed’s bioplastics and recyclates are formulated for injection moulding, blown film extrusion, extrusion and thermoforming, providing flexibility in product design across a wide range of market segments.
