Qemetica, an international industrial group with Polish capital, has launched sales in the Australian market. It offers agricultural products there through its own company, Qemetica Agricultural Solutions Australia. According to the group, Australia is a strategic point on the map of its global expansion and may become a foothold for further development of the agro business in the Asia-Pacific region. Entry into a new continent is intended to support revenue diversification in geographic, seasonal and currency terms. The company emphasises that the agro segment is one of the drivers of the entire group’s international development, and that products from the plant in Nowa Sarzyna are currently supplied to the most important global markets, including Asia and South America.

"Qemetica’s agro business is gaining momentum and is increasingly boldly entering new markets, being one of the drivers of the entire Group’s international development. In 2025 alone, from the factory in Nowa Sarzyna in the Podkarpackie region, we shipped more than 9 billion litres of agricultural products worldwide, serving the most important global markets, including Asia and South America. We are already present in around 40 countries, but we are looking even further, broader and more boldly. We are now opening a new chapter by entering an entirely new continent, where we have launched our own company. For us, Australia is not only a new market, but a strategic move for the entire Group, which will allow us to diversify revenues even better: geographically, seasonally and in currency terms," says Kamil Majczak, president of the management board of Qemetica.

The Australian market and the role of seasonal cycles

Australia is one of the world’s richest economies per capita. Qemetica points to a stable and favourable regulatory environment and openness to cooperation with new entities, which is expected to create favourable conditions for sales development. The local crop protection products market is largely based on cereal crops, well known from Europe, which account for around 40% of the market. High-margin specialty crops, such as fruit, vegetables, grapes and legumes, also play an important role. In these segments, Qemetica uses experience gained in the group’s key European markets, including Spain, Italy and France.

"Australia is a growing, large agricultural market where we can use our strong competences in building long-term relationships with local distributors. Its location in the southern hemisphere is also an advantage, reversed agricultural cycles support the optimisation of seasonality and increase the efficiency of sales management. For us, it is not only an attractive direction in itself, but also a natural hub for our expansion into the dynamic markets of the Asia-Pacific region," says Edgardo Iglesias, Head of Qemetica Agricultural Solutions, part of the Qemetica Group.

Europe remains a key market

In parallel with the development of activities outside Europe, Qemetica declares that the European market remains important for its agro segment. The company is expanding its presence in further countries and broadening its portfolio of agricultural products. Recently, the group has increased its presence, among others, in Germany, France, Italy, the United Kingdom and Ireland.

"While developing the agro business globally, we are not losing sight of Europe, which remains an absolutely key market for us. We are gradually expanding our presence in further European countries, while continuously broadening our range of modern, innovative products. Recently, we have significantly increased our presence, among others, in Germany, France, Italy, the United Kingdom and Ireland, and we plan to continue supporting European farmers and their competitiveness, and therefore also dynamic growth in the region," adds Edgardo Iglesias.

Crop protection product portfolio

Qemetica Agricultural Solutions is among the leading European producers of crop protection products and competes on global markets. The company offers herbicides, insecticides and fungicides intended to support sustainable and efficient cultivation. The products mentioned include the herbicide Halvetic, commercialised by Qemetica on a global scale, and Evritell, the latest product for maize protection. Qemetica Agricultural Solutions currently supplies solutions to around 40 countries, supporting farmers in increasing yields and protecting crops under different climatic and market conditions.
