Reifenhäuser Group has expanded its capacity in the United States through its long-standing subsidiary Reifenhäuser North America. The company states that the move is intended to better meet the needs of local customers in plastics extrusion technology. Over the past 12 months, Reifenhäuser North America has added six experts across sales, service and customer care, reinforcing its ability to provide direct technical and operational support close to customers' production sites. The U.S. subsidiary combines regional market knowledge with the technology base and machinery quality of the Reifenhäuser Group. According to the company, local availability, technical know-how and fast response times are becoming increasingly important for producers in the United States and Canada.
"For producers in the U.S. and Canada, local availability, technical know-how and fast response times are becoming increasingly critical," said Marcel Perrevort, Chief Sales Officer of the Reifenhäuser Group. "By expanding our North American team, we are reinforcing what customers need most: direct access to experienced people who understand their market, their production challenges and their performance goals."
Local presence and manufacturing capabilities
Reifenhäuser North America employs 115 people across the United States. Its 60,000-square-foot facility in Maize, Kansas, serves the U.S. market with dedicated sales and service teams. In addition, the company provides local development and manufacturing for screws, barrels, valves and end caps for extrusion and injection molding applications under its sub-brand Reiloy.
The local presence was established in 1961. Reifenhäuser states that it links European engineering with regional proximity. Customers in the United States and Canada receive local support while maintaining access to the technology, application know-how and manufacturing quality of the Reifenhäuser Group, which has been family-owned since 1911.
The portfolio includes distribution of Reifenhäuser blown film, cast film, sheet and coating lines. It also includes components from Reifenhäuser subsidiaries Reiloy and Kdesign. Kdesign is described by the company as a global market leader in blown film cooling, measurement and calibration technologies. Reifenhäuser North America covers the value chain from initial consultation and U.S.-based project management to local field service and spare parts.
