Albis will present its healthcare application expertise at Medtec China 2026, taking place from September 1 to 3 at the Shanghai World Expo Exhibition & Convention Center. The Albis Healthcare team will meet visitors in Hall N2, Booth 2F502. The exhibition focus will include solutions for diagnostics, pharmaceutical packaging, drug delivery systems, diabetes care and surgical instruments. As a partner to medical device manufacturers and processors, Albis supports healthcare projects from the initial assessment of application requirements through material selection and technical evaluation to implementation. At the event, the company will show how its international network, broad portfolio of polymers and services, and local expertise can support customers in addressing technical, regulatory and application-specific requirements.
China is one of the world’s largest healthcare markets, with growing demand for modern medical technologies and increasingly complex requirements for manufacturers. "With strong global partners, a broad range of healthcare solutions and experience from numerous projects, ALBIS is well positioned to support customers in the Chinese market," says Tom Darmstadt, Senior Director Business Development Healthcare at Albis. "This includes an extensive portfolio of medical-grade plastics as well as technical and application-specific support."
Solutions for key healthcare applications
At Medtec China, Albis will present application examples and material solutions for its focus segments. These include solutions based on materials from BASF for drug delivery systems and diabetes care applications, as well as materials from Covestro for diagnostics, respiratory devices, surgical instruments, drug delivery systems and diabetes care.
Further exhibits will feature healthcare applications using materials from long-term partners INEOS Styrolution, LyondellBasell and MOCOM. Depending on the application, the solutions address requirements such as chemical resistance, transparency, mechanical performance, sterilization resistance or suitability for direct contact with pharmaceutical products.
International expertise combined with local support
Albis’ Healthcare activities are supported by an international network of technical specialists and industry experts. Their experience from projects across different regions and application areas is combined with the market knowledge and customer proximity of the local team in China.
