Macro Engineering announced the successful installation of two 9-layer Quadex shrink film lines at adapa Germany Kempten, part of adapa Group. The lines expand the plant’s shrink film capabilities and, alongside current PvdC structures, will enable EVOH-based shrink film in the future. The cooperation continues a partnership that, according to the companies, has lasted 25 years in PvdC shrink film technology. In their statements, adapa highlighted the ease of operation of the new lines and the importance of after-sales technical support in selecting the supplier. With this installation, adapa Germany Kempten aims to continue supplying a wide range of shrink packaging while preparing to introduce EVOH options into its product portfolio.
“We are pleased to add two high performance shrink film lines from Macro Engineering to our capabilities. This important step allows for us to continue to provide our customers with a wide range of highest quality shrink packaging, today with PvdC and with EVOH in future. The ease of operations of the lines as well as the after sales technical support were key aspects for us to choose a cooperation with Macro,” says Markus Stephan, managing director of adapa Germany Kempten.
“adapa Germany Kempten has been a long standing customer of Macro Engineering for the past 25 years with PvdC shrink film technology. We are very pleased to add EVOH shrink film technology to their product portfolio as well,” says Dr. Karen Xiao, VP of Technology at Macro Engineering. “We value our partnership with adapa Group and look forward to support their continued growth.”
