Exolon Group will present its latest thermoplastic sheet developments at K 2025, the leading international trade fair for the plastics industry, held in Düsseldorf, Germany, from October 8 to 15. As a European manufacturer of solid and multiwall sheets, the company will highlight new product generations and compliance-ready options for applications in automotive, building and construction, industrial equipment and food production. The showcase will emphasize optical performance, safety and durability, along with material choices that address circularity targets and upcoming regulatory requirements, including the planned European ban on bisphenol A in food contact materials from 2028. Visitors can learn about transparent sheets engineered for demanding glazing, food-grade portfolios designed for processing hygiene, and construction panels developed for load-bearing façades and roof structures, as well as lines with increased recycled content and renewable raw materials replacing fossil-based resources.
Optical quality, redefined
With the new generation of Exolon Optica solid sheets, the company targets transparent applications that must combine crystal-clear visual quality with robustness. The series is specified for distortion-free clarity without haze, inclusions or surface defects. The sheets are highly impact and abrasion resistant, and provide shatter protection, which addresses safety glazing needs in areas such as forestry and agricultural machinery and anti-ballistic applications. Optica sheets are available in coated and uncoated versions.
Food-grade sheet portfolio aligned with future BPA rules
For food-related environments, Exolon Group offers a portfolio comprising Vivak, Inspria GP, Axpet and Curvalite sheets. According to the company, these materials already comply with the upcoming EU regulation banning bisphenol A in food contact materials from 2028. All are odor-neutral, hygienic in processing and available in sustainable variants. Their combination of high transparency, impact resistance and formability supports uses such as reusable packaging, chocolate moulds, point-of-sale displays and technical covers.
Solutions for building and construction
In commercial and industrial construction, Exolon Group’s solid and multiwall polycarbonate sheets are used primarily in roof structures, including skylights, skydomes, stadium canopies, verandas and carports. The sheets are lightweight, UV resistant and impact resistant, and depending on sheet thickness they offer good thermal insulation. For façades, robust click panels are designed to combine functional performance with architectural appearance. A highlight is the new Exolon Panel with 60 mm thickness and HX structure, which provides high load-bearing capacity and heat insulation. The range is complemented by lightweight yet rigid corrugated and trapezoidal sheets for agricultural and industrial cladding. All products meet fire safety requirements with CE marking according to DIN EN 16153, and quality management is certified under DIN EN ISO 9001.
