EREMA will present Edvanced Recycling, a portfolio of products and technologies for plastics recycling, at K in Düsseldorf from 8 to 15 October 2025. A central feature is a live installation showing the Intarema TVEplus DuaFil Compact double filtration system processing 11 different post consumer materials into high quality recycled pellets at the Edvanced Recycling Centre. Across its application segments, the company will show recent developments, with a focus on post consumer recycling that includes the premiere of its Volex technology for enhanced degassing. The program also covers integrated washing and extrusion with partner equipment, data visualisation across connected systems, and digital service modules designed to raise machine availability. Commenting on the industry’s progress, Manfred Hackl, CEO of the EREMA Group, said: "The progress made in plastics recycling is enormous. We have achieved an impressive number of successes together with our customers over the last few decades. As we drive innovation forward, EREMA still sets the trends in this industry."
Live demonstration of end-to-end recycling
At the Edvanced Recycling Centre in the outdoor area C03, EREMA, customers and partners will demonstrate applications that already use recycled pellets. Sixty products with up to 100 percent recycled content will be on display, including food safe HDPE bottles, cosmetics packaging, transport films and lifestyle items. Some products will be manufactured from plastic waste that is recycled during the trade fair. An Intarema 1108 TVEplus DuaFil Compact will process 11 different materials in a total of 15 test runs. ReFresher technology for odour optimised premium pellets, established on the market for many years, is part of the demonstrations.
A Lindner Washtech washing system will operate next to the EREMA extrusion line, as the joint venture partners demonstrate a coordinated end to end process. The HMI developed by both companies visualises networked data from the two systems and the ReFresher on an intuitive dashboard. Precise interaction of the full process chain is highlighted as a critical factor for more efficient recycling and higher recycled pellet quality. A real life reference is shown at the centre: Polymer Matters in Ireland converts HDPE milk bottles from household collection into food grade recycled pellets that are used to produce new HDPE milk bottles.
Post consumer extrusion and higher degassing performance
EREMA reports ongoing R&D across five segments, including inhouse and industrial recycling, post consumer recycling, bottle recycling, fibre and textile recycling, and chemical recycling. In post consumer recycling, Managing Director Markus Huber-Lindinger presented Volex: "Our Volex technology sets new standards in extrusion. This is the first time that the water stripping process has been implemented highly effectively on a single screw extruder. Made possible by the unique plus zone of the Intarema TVEplus in combination with a specially developed extruder screw and cylinder geometry, it also features an intelligent dosing and control concept. Ultimately, we can now significantly increase degassing performance and open up new business opportunities for our customers."

Predictive maintenance and digital services
Addressing operating costs, Huber-Lindinger noted: "An avoidable cost factor at production plants is a machine that is at a standstill. We support our customers with a comprehensive range of services, rapid spare parts availability, and intelligent assistance systems, to keep machine downtime to an absolute minimum." At K 2025, EREMA launches two additional modules for the PredictOn predictive maintenance series: AI assisted data analysis and condition monitoring for the plastification unit. Both modules are installed on the Intarema machine at the Edvanced Recycling Centre and can be monitored live via the BluPort screen at the trade fair stand. "The BluPort digital customer platform brings together all apps and data intuitively in one place. This gives our customers all the information they need to make informed decisions and optimise the performance of their machines at any time. It is this level of extensive functionality that makes BluPort unique in the industry," said Huber-Lindinger.
Skills and talent development
Hackl underlined the long term need for recycling capacity despite a challenging investment climate. "In terms of social development, we need application specific recycling solutions, with secondary raw materials playing an increasingly important role in Europe," he said. The company is supporting young professionals through initiatives such as Young Talents. "We are pleased that Jacob Manhartsgruber, who is a highly motivated young member of EREMA, is part of the Young Talents initiative," said Hackl. Manhartsgruber completed training as a machine and operating systems technician at EREMA and will attend the show to highlight opportunities in the plastics sector to young people.
Edvanced Recycling campaign and exhibition details
Under the Edvanced Recycling, EREMA prime solutions for advanced recycling campaign, the company presents a wide range of plastics recycling solutions. According to the company, more than 40 years of experience combined with practical application expertise underpin systems that deliver recycled pellets meeting precise specifications from food and cosmetic grade to simpler uses. The initiative aims to increase the share of recycled materials in new plastic products.
Visitors can find EREMA at K 2025 in Hall 9, Stand C09, and at the Edvanced Recycling Centre in the outdoor area, CE03.
