Wittmann to show updated Drymax basic 120 at Fakuma
The new graphic display of the Drymax basic 120 dry air dryer simplifies the operation and control of the drying process

Wittmann will present the Drymax basic 120 mobile dry-air dryer at Fakuma 2026, held from 12 to 16 October in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The unit will be shown for the first time with a new graphic color display. According to the company, the further development is intended to set new benchmarks in intuitive menu navigation for auxiliary equipment. The 3.5-inch TFT LCD color display is designed to provide greater clarity, easier operation and improved process reliability. Menu navigation is based on symbols representing all setting options, which is intended to reduce language barriers and support use by international teams. The display also allows all process-relevant parameters and the current device status to be viewed at a glance, while reducing the risk of operating errors, an aspect highlighted by the company in the context of the growing shortage of skilled labor.

Energy efficiency in dry-air generation

The Drymax basic 120 is designed for dry-air generation of 120 m³/h and granulate throughputs of up to 75 kg/h. To provide continuous process air quality for drying, the dryer is equipped with two desiccant cartridges. The duration and intensity of temperature-controlled regeneration are based on current demand, which is intended to avoid excessive energy consumption.

Energy efficiency is further supported by automatic temperature reduction during machine standstills or by adjustment to lower drying requirements. These functions are intended to match the operation of the dryer more closely to actual production conditions and the level of drying demand.

Operation in high temperature and humidity

The Drymax basic 120 can also be equipped with the SmartCare option for operation in regions with high ambient temperatures and frequent high humidity levels. With SmartCare, a lower and more consistent dew point level is reached by adding a minimal quantity of compressed air to the process.

Wittmann will exhibit at Fakuma 2026 in hall B1, booth 1204.
