SEM Biotech has announced a major step in the development of its medical manufacturing operations, establishing an automated production platform for vacuum blood collection tubes under the Vacusem brand. The platform has an annual production capacity of 500 million tubes and operates in an ISO Class 8 cleanroom environment. According to the company, production is organized in line with high hygiene standards and focuses on consistent quality, repeatability and compliance with European Union market requirements. SEM Biotech describes the investment as part of its plan to build a technology-driven medical manufacturing brand serving European and international markets. The company states that the platform is designed to support industrial-scale production of medical components with process stability, traceability and controlled production conditions.

Strategic collaboration with Husky Technologies

The investment is based on a strategic collaboration with Husky Technologies, described by SEM Biotech as its long-term technology partner. The system is combined with advanced Schöttli medical molds intended for precision and consistent high-volume medical production. The platform also includes integrated robotics and auxiliary equipment, hot-runner technology, a unified operator interface and Husky Advantage+Elite proactive monitoring support.
