Fanuc will present its latest developments in all-electric injection moulding, robotics, artificial intelligence and digital manufacturing at Fakuma 2026 in Friedrichshafen, Germany. The exhibition will focus on integrated production solutions intended to help manufacturers increase productivity, improve quality and respond to labour shortages, rising costs and competitive pressure. The company will show two new all-electric Roboshot injection moulding applications, as well as industrial and collaborative robotics, machine vision, IIoT connectivity and digital tools for production management. The presented systems are aimed at demonstrating how CNC-controlled moulding, automation and data-based manufacturing can be combined in practical production environments.

New Roboshot applications for intelligent manufacturing

At the centre of the Fanuc stand will be two new all-electric Roboshot injection moulding applications. Each of them is intended to show how advanced CNC control and automation can support consistent quality and operational efficiency in plastics processing.

The Fanuc Roboshot S180C will demonstrate a technical moulding application with cavity pressure monitoring on every cavity and simulation-supported hot runner balancing. According to the company, these technologies enable manufacturers to achieve greater process stability, optimise quality and reduce waste, including in demanding production conditions.

The Fanuc Roboshot S350C will be presented in an automated medical packaging application, combining high-precision moulding with automated part handling and packaging. The compact production cell is designed to illustrate how processors can obtain reliable and repeatable production while making efficient use of available floor space.

Both applications reflect Fanuc's stated focus on helping processors improve productivity, quality and flexibility through advanced but practical automation solutions.

Automation supported by AI and robotics

In addition to injection moulding systems, Fanuc will demonstrate developments in industrial robotics and collaborative automation. One of the main exhibits will be the Fanuc CRX collaborative robot, which can be programmed using voice commands supported by generative AI technology. The company states that this approach reduces programming complexity and lowers the barrier to adopting automation.

Visitors will also see flexible automation concepts integrated with machine vision systems. These demonstrations are intended to show how manufacturers can automate a broader range of production tasks while maintaining adaptability and ease of use.

Digitalisation and smart factory connectivity

Fanuc will include a dedicated IIoT and digitalisation area showing how connected manufacturing can provide additional value across the factory floor. The digital manufacturing ecosystem presented at the stand will include LINKi2, MES connectivity, Euromap 82.1 and 82.2 interfaces, WebAPI applications, Moldex3D integration and AI-based digital tools.

These technologies are designed to give manufacturers better visibility of production performance. They support machine connectivity, workflow automation, quality control improvements and data-driven decision-making intended to increase overall operational efficiency.
