P.E.T. Engineering honoured for eco-design of packaging

P.E.T. Engineering honoured… During the tradeshow Ecomondo - Key Energy in Rimini P.E.T. Engineering received a distinction plaque in the category Eco-Design part of the Sustainable Development Awards 2013.

The award, established in 2008 by the Foundation for Sustainable Development and Ecomondo - Fiera di Rimini with the support of the President of the Republic and with the sponsorship, for the first time, of the Ministry of Economic Development, is assigned to those companies that have stood out for activities and projects that provide significant environmental benefits, have an innovative content, and offer economic and employment benefits with potential diffusion.

The award, with a participation of more than 200 Italian companies, consists of three categories: eco-design, eco-agricultural activities and start-ups. P.E.T. Engineering stood out in the eco-design category thanks to its design activity of packaging with both, low environmental impact and high quality.

Edo Ronchi, President of the Sustainable Development Foundation, said "In Italy, which continues to go through an unresolved crisis, we need more than ever a new project for a sustainable and long-lasting development, a real green new deal able to make our country get out of the crisis. The awarded companies got this message and they are the ones who may have a role to lead the way for a future development".

P.E.T. Engineering, which this year has also been awarded with the Oscar dell'Imballaggio for the 5 LW, the lightest 5 liter ever, and the Innobev Sustainability Award for the "Swerve Neck" solution, found in Edo Ronchi's words the confirmation that eco-sustainability is the right driver for its growth.
