Activity description
Qatofin Company Limited is a result of the long term vision of its share holders to further utilize the experience of visionary professionals to develop the polyethylene product range in Qatar.
450,000 metric tons of high quality Linear Low Density Polyethylene (LLDPE) will be produced by Qatofin every year. Production is expected to start up by the third quarter of 2009, in Mesaieed Industrial City which is in the south of Qatar.
In total, Qatofin project’s costs are estimated to be around $1.3 billion which includes, expenditure under the EPC contracts as well as financing & owner costs.
The high quality LLDPE products produced by Qatofin will be marketed worldwide through the strong marketing network of it's shareholders and the well known established brand name ‘Lotrene’.
