Plast, held in Milan every three years, is one of the key events for the global plastics and rubber industry. This year's edition provided a venue for presenting processing technologies, machinery and materials, as well as for discussions on industry cooperation. In this context, X-Rite presented color measurement and management solutions aimed at manufacturers of plastic products. According to the company, these tools are designed to support the elimination of subjective color assessment, reduce material waste, and improve color consistency at successive stages of the production process. Applications include work with plastic granulates, extruded components, transparent and semi-transparent preforms and sheets, as well as materials containing optical brightening additives. The company also highlighted the possibility of reducing the number of physical prototypes and supporting formulation development using recyclates and production residues.
During Plast 2026, held from 9 to 12 June at Fiera Milano in Rho near Milan, X-Rite presented its solutions in Hall 11, at stand C76-C78. The stand featured instruments and software designed for color evaluation, color visualization, formulation, and quality control.
Solutions for color evaluation and visualization
In the area of color evaluation, the company presented the Judge LED light booth, described as a fast and reliable solution for color assessment, equipped with seven configurable light sources.
For color visualization, it showcased the MA-T12 multi-angle handheld spectrophotometer, equipped with 12 measurement angles and intended for the characterization of special-effect materials. This part of the offering was complemented by Pantora software, used for fast and accurate visualization of the appearance of various materials on prototypes.

Formulation and quality control
In the color formulation segment, X-Rite presented the Ci7800 benchtop spectrophotometer, intended for the communication and coordination of color values and specifications. It was accompanied by Color iMatch software, whose role is to achieve optimal initial color matches and reduce the number of formulation trials.
In the area of color quality control, the company presented several measuring instruments and software tools. MetaVue VS3200 is a non-contact benchtop spectrophotometer for measuring creams, liquids and emulsions against a standard. Ci64 is a handheld spectrophotometer intended for color quality control throughout the development and production process. CiF3200, in turn, was developed for quality control of small, irregular or multicolored objects, including highly light-reflective surfaces, with a minimum measurement area of 2 mm. The offering is complemented by Color iQC software for quality control and quality assurance, as well as the ERX130 non-contact spectrophotometer for measurements in the production process, equipped with a large measurement area of 90 mm in diameter.

Portal for device and service management
The My X-Rite portal was also presented at the trade fair. This solution provides round-the-clock access to the user account, device information, service status, and support. According to the company's description, users can monitor devices, review orders and invoices, as well as track service requests and technical support cases from a personalized dashboard.
The portal also enables users to submit and manage service requests online. Its intended purpose is to speed up problem resolution and increase the transparency of the service process. The presentation of this tool complemented X-Rite's display at Plast 2026, which focused on tools supporting color consistency, quality control, and process efficiency in plastics processing.
