Sanner, a global manufacturer of healthcare packaging solutions and a contract development and manufacturing organization for medtech products, has achieved the EcoVadis Gold rating. According to the company, this places Sanner among the top five percent of more than 150,000 companies assessed worldwide for sustainability performance. The Sanner Group has participated in the EcoVadis assessment for around two years. After receiving a Bronze rating at the beginning of the year, the company rose two levels to Gold in October. The rating recognizes results across environmental impact, labor practices and human rights, ethics, and sustainable procurement, and is well established in the pharmaceutical and medtech industries. "This milestone strengthens our position as a responsible partner for the pharmaceutical and nutraceutical industry as well as in the CDMO sector," said Stefan Verheyden, CEO of the Sanner Group. "The EcoVadis Gold status underlines our commitment to maximum transparency and reliability in these demanding markets." The company notes that the award reflects the commitment of the management team and the dedication of all employees to driving significant changes in sustainability.
Global standards and next steps
Sanner reports that it has significantly expanded its sustainability and compliance management system within a short period and rolled it out across its international locations. With globally harmonized standards, the group has increased transparency and ensured long-term compliance with regulatory requirements. "The Gold rating is both a recognition of our efforts and a strong motivation to continuously improve. Sustainability is not just a goal, but the way we shape the future," Verheyden said. The company plans to further intensify measures at all sites to continue to fulfill its responsibility towards the environment, society and the economy.
