The operating principle of the moisture meter is based on measuring the dielectric constant of the material. The material being tested should be poured into the container with which the meter is equipped. The dielectric constant of dry material is, for example, 4, while the dielectric constant of water is 80. Moist material has intermediate dielectric constant values - on this basis, its moisture content is calculated.
