Growing demands for speed of production increase the requirements for the speed of packaging description. Manually marking the products is eliminated by automated systems, and people have a long period of time due to tedious repetitive activities that are unpredictable and inefficient. There are also growing demands for product integrators who must have knowledge of the complexity of the printing device, the conveyor, the PLC, and the vision system for inspection of labels. The task of the vision system is to check: • the presence of a label. • Location of the label on the packaging. • quality of sticking (folding, bending) • completeness of printing. • bar code quality. • verification of description. • compatibility of the description with the database. Because the description quality is a subjective parameter, the system has a code switch that defines the tolerances. The verification error message is signaled on the signaling column and a pneumatic ejector can be activated to remove the defective packaging. In addition, a simple PLC system built into the sensor allows you to set the sequence of events (such as the number of consecutive defects) that will indicate the need to stop the production line. The AVD-1280 AVD-1280 visual inspection system keeps the packaging label statistics up-to-date. Before working, the AVD-1280 is learned. An operator initiating product labeling communicates information to the vision system that the currently marked package can be considered as a benchmark. This is done by pressing the "LEARN" button on the back of the AVD-1280. In order to improve the comfort of the system, the vision inspection system has prepared a solution equipped with a monitor in which the viewer sees the appearance of selected labels and above all an image of the wrong sticker. System designers set their own goals: ease of use and adaptability to the existing production line and reliability.
