The two companies see the promise of powerful headwinds behind them in the current stormy market situation for extrusion plant as a result of their shoulder-to-shoulder stand. The Austrian company Greiner Extrusion is the international leader for tooling, extrusion follow-up equipment and in complete profile extrusion plant construction. KraussMaffei Berstorff is also among the world leaders for extruders and plastics machinery.
Two extrusion major players agreed to intensify their long-term cooperation in negotiations held in Munich, Germany in February. - The two companies have maintained an intensive and successful business relationship since the mid 1990s. KraussMaffei Berstorff has supplied Greiner Extrusion with some 400 extruders to date. Joint projects are now to be implemented in the Ukraine, Iran, Columbia and Russia among others.
The two partner companies are also currently erecting a large scale plant to produce house construction components in Venezuela. This will serve panel structure prefabricated housing production as the basis of major residential projects. “We are opening up new markets with this intensification of the network partnership. The two leading producers for profile extrusion technology will closely align their global sales and service activities even more intensively to each other in future.

The technical aligning of tooling and extruders together with joint developments are a further focus of the strengthened partnership.
