Recycling Europe

Recycling Europe is a European industry association representing companies and organisations active in recycling. The organisation conducts policy and analytical work to support effective EU regulatory frameworks, promotes the circular economy and supports the development of secondary material markets. It represents over 80 members across 24 countries, encompassing more than 5,500 companies and supporting around 300,000 green jobs, with an estimated contribution of about EUR 95 billion to the EU economy.

Main areas of activity include:

• policy work and sector positions on waste law and the circular economy;
• coordination of seven material-specific branches, including plastics, metals, paper, textiles, tyres, construction and demolition, and end-of-life vehicles;
• organisation of conferences, events and publications and participation in EU-funded projects;
• building member networks, partnerships and initiatives that support circularity.
