Record year for Zahoransky Formenbau

Record year for Zahoransky… 2014 saw new records in all four plants of the Zahoransky Group of mold makers. Sales in both German plants in 79108 Freiburg and 08237 Rothen-kirchen reached new peaks with a growth of over 20% over last year. In spite of substantially higher sales, deadline efficiency has been further improved by the consistent use of lean production principle in place for the past two years.

Thanks to major investments, the biggest for five years, further capacities were created by a number of additional new machining centers in all areas.
The growth in sales can be ascribed mainly to a rise in demand for injection molding machines with integrated automation. Zahoransky's patented TIM molds (Total Integrated manufacturing), TIM Light and SCPS Flex now allow assembly work downstream from the injection molding process to be carried out directly at the mold. In place of several machines with downstream automation, this solution is preferred by most manufacturers.

This year, the production area at the Spanish plant in Logroño (La Rioja) will be almost doubled by an extension which is currently under construction, with the effect that production at that site can also be increased substantially and will match the increase in demand.

Thanks to the new building opened in November 2013, sales at the plant in Tamil Nadu, Southern India, almost doubled in 2014.

Following a strong demand for injection molding machines, especially coming from globally operating enterprises, an independent branch was set up in the USA on 1 January 2015 and split off from the previous agency. The new branch office for sales and service is located in a suburb of Chicago.

These measures enable Zahoransky to provide substantially better sales and aftersales services in the USA and Canada.

Provided the global economy shows no signs of a slowdown in the coming year, Zahoransky is looking into the future with optimism and confidence for a moderate growth potential in all plants.
