Styron increases prices for latex

Styron increases prices for… Styron Europe GmbH and its affiliated companies have announced a price increase of 120 Euro per dry metric ton for all latex sold into the paper, carpet and performance markets in Europe, Middle East, Africa and India (EMEAI). The increase will be reflected in Styron’s on-going pricing discussions with customers and implemented as of November 1, 2013 or as individual agreement and contract terms permit.

“This adjustment is necessary to restore margins to a sustainable level so that Styron can continue to provide technology leadership, innovative products and strong service to our customers, while remaining the reliable, high quality supplier they are used to work with,” said Christian Page, business director for Latex in Europe, Middle East, India and Africa.
