Personnel change at Otto Krahn… The Executive Board of the Kranich Foundation and the Management Board of the Otto Krahn KG announced that Philip Krahn will assume the role of CEO of Albis Plastic GmbH and as member of the executive board of Otto Krahn group. Philip Krahn will assume his new responsibilities as follows: effective November 1, 2015, he will join the management board of Albis Plastic GmbH with specific responsibility for the Far East operations. From January 1, 2016, he will join the executive board of Otto Krahn KG and will become managing director of Krahn Verwaltungs GmbH.

As announced in April, Hans-Jochen Lorenzen is going to leave the board as of December 31, 2015. In the course of 2016, Philip Krahn will assume CEO responsibility within the management board of Albis Plastic GmbH upon returning from Asia to Hamburg.

Philip Krahn is one of the shareholders of the family owned Otto Krahn group. He joined the group in November 2010 and has since then worked in various roles in Hamburg, UK and Asia. He is currently managing director of Albis Plastic (Far East) Ltd., Hong Kong, and its Chinese subsidiaries.

The responsibilities in the executive board of Otto Krahn KG will be shared between Philip Krahn and Kerstin Müller-Kirchhofs, who continues to act as spokesperson of the management board of Albis Plastic GmbH until the CEO role will be assumed by Philip Krahn.

The Otto Krahn KG is the holding company of the Otto Krahn Group, which deals with the national and international distribution and compounding of technical plastics, as well as with the distribution of specialty chemicals. The plastic activities are consolidated within the Albis Plastic Group. Similarly, the specialty chemical distribution activities are consolidated within the Krahn Chemie Group. In total the Otto Krahn Group is represented by Albis Plastic and Krahn Chemie in more than 20 countries through its own operational offices. In the business year 2014 the Otto Krahn Group with its 1,146 employees generated a turnover of 1.060 mln EUR.
