New high-performance industrial M2M router

New high-performance industrial M2M router
Billion Electric Co. Ltd., the leading provider of carrier-grade network equipment and ICT solutions in Asia Pacific, announced the launch of its high-performance 4G LTE industrial M2M router - M100. The new M2M router features 3G 4G/LTE broadband connection, dual WAN interfaces, and VPN functionalities, delivering superior and secure connectivity for various industrial environments.

M100, a broadband communication device with industrial-grade compact enclosure specially designed for harsh industrial settings, can endure extended operating temperatures range from -20 to 60oC (-4 to 140oF) and support an input voltage range from 9 to 56V DC. Incorporated with two Gigabit Ethernet interfaces and RS-232 serial ports, M100 provides wireless data connectivity for system integrators to leverage and develop various Smart City solutions, such as Point-On-Sale (PoS), ATM, Oil& Gas and Machine-to-Machine (M2M) market segment.

M100 integrates with both EWAN and 3G/4G wireless interfaces; either wired or wireless connection can be setup as the primary or backup WAN port. M100 monitors both the primary and the backup connection to feature automated failover. When the primary WAN interface fails, the secondary WAN interface automatically backs up the connection, allowing WAN interface to restore instantly and minimize service interruption to ensure a seamless internet connection.

M100 allows users to establish up to 16 tunnels per protocol over public internet in which data will be encrypted and transferred safely by supporting IPSec/PPTP/L2TP/GRE/OpenVPN protocols. The VPN protocols can dramatically enhance the stability and the security of data transmission to prevent data tampering and loss. "Through the utilization of M100 4G/LTE M2M industrial router, our clients can receive real-time information with a stable, secure connectivity and make critical decisions in real time, improving the efficiency of operation management as well as corporate long-term competitiveness in various industrial applications," said Ted Ho, Chief Technology Officer of Billion Electric.
