New film of Novacel

New film of Novacel Novacel of France, a specialist in surface protection, has launched the Novacel 9357 range of protective films for use with carpeting and other textiles. This latest range demonstrates the company’s commitment to manufacturing environmentally friendly products, as it is solvent-free and can be recycled or reused.

The Novacel 9357 protective film is designed for the protection of carpeting (polypropylene or needle-punched fibres) and other textiles, which are used for stands at trade shows. The 30µm-thick, transparent, colourless polyethylene film is designed to resist substantial impact during the installation of a stand (i.e. trampling, transporting of pallets and other equipment, and earth or rubble dumping).

The innovative material used is made from a new, solvent-free adhesive mass, which Novacel has developed through the use of a more environmentally friendly manufacturing process. The Novacel 9357 film is also an ideal tool for communication, as it can be printed with a logo, trademark or any other advertising or technical message.

Provided the protective film has not been soiled, it can be incinerated or recycled after use. Similarly, all packaging and cores are also recyclable and reusable. Such initiatives, introduced in order to reduce the environmental impact of Novacel’s products, are an integral part of the company’s sustainable-development policy.

Major companies in the carpeting and textiles sectors are already using this new product in industrial quantities, thus helping to reduce solvent discharges into the atmosphere.

Novacel is a world leader in protective films for industrial surfaces. The company, which is headquartered in Déville-lès-Rouen, near the city of Rouen (in Normandy, north-western France), is part of Chargeurs Protective Films.

Novacel has subsidiaries in many countries, including China, Germany, Italy, Spain, the United Kingdom and the United States. It also has customer-service centres and an agent and distributor network in Canada, in other parts of Europe (Austria, Denmark, Finland, Norway, Poland, Russia, Sweden and Switzerland), Latin America (Argentina, Brazil and Mexico), in India, in the Far East (Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, Singapore, Taiwan and Thailand), as well as in Egypt and the Arabian Peninsula.

Novacel develops, produces and markets self-adhesive films for temporary surface protection used in the electronics, home-appliance, automotive and building sectors. Novacel films may be applied upon surfaces as diverse as stainless steel, pre-coated metals, aluminium and plastics, as well as shaped and laminated materials.
