Mondi brings flexible packaging to life at Packaging Innovations 2016 in Amsterdam
Mondi, the international packaging and paper group, is showcasing its latest innovations in the flexible packaging market at Packaging Innovations in Amsterdam (23-24 November 2016). The highlights of booth C109 include a wide range of products developed with a focus on easy pack opening and enhanced shelf-appeal. During the show they are being exhibited through an interactive display which includes short product movies that utilise augmented reality technology. By scanning a picture with a mobile phone, visitors can learn about the benefits of the particular pack format, bringing its application in the real world to life.

Answering the growing appetite of European consumers for snacks on the go - with sales hitting $167 billion in 2014 - Mondi is presenting a range of convenient flexible packaging options designed to accommodate the fast-moving lives of today's consumers. Visitors to the stand can feel the advantage of an easy and controlled opening of the CornerPack bag with semi-circular scoring lines in the pack corner, making it easier to dispense the product. To help consumers enjoy the product for longer by retaining its taste and aroma Mondi also presents StripePack, a convenient solution to address the growing demand among snacks brands for easy opening packaging.

Additionally, brands looking for packaging materials affecting the consumer's senses can feel the difference of PaperPack bag with window - offering a natural touch and feel, it helps the product stand out on the shelf by making visible what's inside. For those searching for a unique finishing touch but with added value, Mondi offers ArtPack, winner of the "Design & Finishing" category at the German Packaging Award 2016. With a natural paper-like finish the bag achieves real shelf standout, at the same time offering enhanced product protection with all the barrier properties of a flexible film.

Peter Ellens, regional manager for Mondi Consumer Goods Packaging in the Benelux countries, commented: "Packaging Innovations 2016 is a great platform for us. We show the latest innovative flexible packaging solutions brought to this market to reflect the increasing trend of consumer convenience. We see huge potential in this market - by linking the outstanding packaging solutions with the latest digital technology we can promote brands on a whole new level, vividly demonstrating how our customers can make snacking easier and more convenient for end consumers."

At Packaging Innovations 2016 visitors to booth C109 can see for themselves the great strides that Mondi is making in creating and promoting flexible packaging.
