Milacron to showcase end-to-end service solutions at Fakuma 2015

The new Elektron Evolution

A product of Milacron's years of innovation in all-electric injection molding technology, the company is set to launch the Elektron Evolution. The Elektron uses the advanced Ferromatik-Series control system Mosaic. Designed for a full range of applications and in a wide variety of sizes, it offers customers outstanding value to help them achieve their plastics manufacturing goals.

Milacron's Elektron Evolution uses 60 per cent less energy and 90 per cent less water than hydraulic injection molding machines, reducing operating costs substantially. Setting the standard for movement repeatability, Elektron Evolution's stroke precision of servo-driven axis is significantly greater than top hydraulic systems, making it the best injection molding machine for the reliable production of high-precision parts. With no oil disposal, leaks or slipping hazards, Elektron Evolution is perfect for clean room environments regardless of machine size needed.

At Fakuma, The Elektron Evolution (EO 75) will be producing a two-component part made of PA 6 GF 30 and TPE using a mold from moldmaker Braunform. The TPE will be injected using Mold-Masters E-Multi auxiliary injection unit.

The award-winning Ferromatik-Series

The award-winning modular Ferromatik-Series is a high-performance injection molding machine with a modular drive concept. These machines can be specified in electric, hydraulic, or hybrid form, as desired. The Ferromatik-Series comes in eight different sizes, as well as a multi-component, mono-sandwich or cube machine. Thanks to the versatile and adaptable design, the Ferromatik-Series can easily accept retrofits and upgrades.

The Ferromatik-Series F120 displayed at this year's Fakuma is upgraded to a fully automated production cell with an integrated Zahoransky robot system and a combined one-component and two-component mold, which produces on one-side 1C razors and on the other side 2C razors.
