Hybrid drive: Hydraulic injection moulding on the Allrounder 570 A

A principle feature of the electric Allrounder A, which is available in the four sizes 370 A, 470 A, 520 A and 570 A, with clamping forces ranging from 500 to 2,000 kN, is its cost efficiency. The main axes, with servo-electric drive as standard, allow for simultaneous movements and consequently for short cycle times. The auxiliary axes can be driven electrically or hydraulically, depending on the customer's requirements. A further advantage of these electric machines is their low energy consumption which, depending on the application, can be up to 40 % lower than with a comparable hydraulic machine. Accordingly, in future, the Alldrive machines will carry the new Arburg energy efficiency label "e2".

High reproducibility and part quality are guaranteed by the excellent positioning accuracy of the electric movement axes, which also contribute to reduced noise emission levels. Thanks to the accuracy of the axis movements, simultaneous entry into the mould can be performed quickly and precisely in order to optimise cycle times.

Hybrid drive: Hydraulic injection moulding on the Allrounder 570 A

Thanks to hydraulic injection with the 1300 size injection unit by means of accumulator-driven hydraulics on the Allrounder 570 A, customers now have more choice when it comes to the configuration of the Allrounder A machine series, enabling them to tailor the machines precisely to their specific applications. This means that the Allrounder 570 A can also be used for applications whose performance requirements exceed the capabilities of the largest electric, size 800, injection unit. This modular system allows the highest-performance, most cost-efficient machine to be configured for each application.

Arburg, a German machine construction company, is one of the leading global manufacturers of injection moulding machines for plastics processing with clamping forces between 125 kN and 5,000 kN. Fields of application include the production of plastic parts for motor vehicles, communications and consumer electronics, medical technology, domestic appliances and packaging.

The product range is completed by robotic systems, complex projects and other peripherals. Arburg`s operations are coordinated by an integrated management system and are DIN EN ISO 9001 and 14001 certified. Arburg is represented by its own organisations in 23 countries at 31 locations and by trading partners in more than 50 countries. However, the machines are produced exclusively in the parent factory in Lossburg (Germany) - with the mark of quality made by Arburg - made in Germany.

From a total of more than 2,000 Arburg employees, around 1,700 work in Germany. Around 330 further employees work at the worldwide Arburg organisations.
