Berlin again takes centre stage for key polymer flooring stakeholders

Berlin again takes centre… Polymer flooring is in the midst of a transition and is experiencing a wave of investment that shows no signs of abating. Popular due to its diversity, it has applications from residential, commercial and industrial to healthcare, sports and leisure. Innovative high-quality products enabled by new materials and process developments are changing customer perceptions and opening up new high value markets.

Following its highly successful launch in 2016, which hosted over 140 attendees from 20 countries - including 20 international flooring producers - Polymers in Flooring returns to Berlin on 5-6 December 2017. The conference again provides a unique forum bringing the polymer flooring industry together to debate technical and market trends, whilst networking with key stakeholders and experts from the industry.

The conference delivers an international line-up of expert speakers to discuss new developments in polymers, additives, compounds, machinery and design aimed specifically at flooring products, in dedicated sessions, as part of the comprehensive two-day programme. Polymers in Flooring features a market overview from the Multilayer Modular Flooring Association (MMFA) and an interactive discussion panel showcasing senior representatives from Gerflor, Tarkett and Forbo Flooring who explore further opportunities, challenges and trends for the polymer flooring landscape.

Attendees learn about the future of digital printing technologies for flooring applications from Tarkett and Dover. Exxonmobil Chemical Europe, Holland Colours Europe and Johns Manville Europe discuss developments in material trends and selections. The programme also features a session looking at optimising material formulations for the flooring industry from Vinnolit and Galata Chemicals. Highly demanding applications for polymer flooring are presented by PVCMed Alliance and delegates gain valuable insights into forward-looking product innovations from Gerflor, Meisterwerke Schulte and Proline Systems.

The conference closes with a session focusing on some advances in production technology to maximise throughput including papers from Azo, X-Compound, Coperion and J-TEC Material Handling.

Polymers in Flooring 2017 is sponsored by BASF and Galata Chemicals, with industry support from the European Resilient Flooring Manufacturers Institute (ERFMI) and the Multilayer Modular Flooring Association (MMFA).
