ARBURG in Spain on track for new record

"ARBURG Spain is on track to set a new record this year and we have expanded our team to meet the high demand. The new GOLDEN ELECTRIC machine series has been very well received by the Spanish market. A hydraulic rotary table machine will demonstrate the fully automated overmoulding of inserts," explains Martín Cayre, Managing Director of ARBURG's Spanish subsidiary. "We will also be demonstrating how our customers can implement Industry 4.0 in injection moulding production practice. At the In(3D)ustry trade fair, a freeformer will individualise luggage tags according to visitors' specifications using additive manufacturing, for example."

In a cycle time of around 10 s, an ALLROUNDER 520 E GOLDEN ELECTRIC produces eight syringe barrels with Luer lock threads for the medical technology sector – an industry with great potential in Spain. An ALLROUNDER 1200 T rotary table machine will demonstrate the fully automated overmoulding of metal inserts with PP. Four bottle openers are produced in a cycle time of around 30 s. ARBURG implemented this production cell in cooperation with its local automation partner, Mitec.

In(3D)ustry: freeformers for additive manufacturing

At the In(3D)ustry 2017 trade fair, two freeformers will also demonstrate industrial additive manufacturing. As an example of how moulded parts can be individualised according to customer wishes, a freeformer will apply graphic motifs selected by visitors onto luggage tags.
