SinoFoldingCarton 2011 Kicks Off Today
Event for Folding Carton Post-Press Solutions Set for Beijing Debut

The unique annual gathering of China’s folding carton industry professionals - SinoFoldingCarton – is set to open its doors at the China International Exhibition Center in Beijing today. SinoFoldingCarton, organised by Reed Exhibitions, is one of the most influential events in the local carton industry. This year, the exhibition, which will run from 6 July to 8 July, is taking place in Beijing for the first time.

As well as spanning a record exhibition area of 20,000 sqm, the show will also attract an all time high of over 300 world leading makers of folding carton manufacturing equipment and consumables suppliers. Over 500 pieces of folding carton manufacturing equipment and 800 post processing consumables will be displayed to nearly 13,000 local and international visitors.

High Profile Exhibitors Assemble to Sharpen Competitive Edge
SinoFoldingCarton 2011 will feature a number of the industry’s leading brands. Several well known folding carton equipment manufacturers from China and abroad will even make their SinoFoldingCarton debut in 2011. Among them, Qinhua, Zhening, Jingbao and Yiling will show flexo, intaglio and silkscreen printing equipment. Post-press processing equipment suppliers like Masterwork, Shengding Group, Yawa, Tokyo Wenhong, Hongjing, Yuanheng, Chengyuan, Dragon, Wutai, Shengtian and Yongshun, who make die cutters, folder gluers, hot stamping machines, laminating machines and laminators, will showcase their latest post-press processing technologies to visiting manufacturers of folding cartons.

Additionally, exhibitors like Henkel, Jichuan, Huakang, Delong, Qichuang, Rocky and Chengming will display the hot melt adhesives and jelly glue that are becoming popularly adopted by folding carton manufacturers in response to today’s low-carbon economy trends. Companies like Esko, Xin’ao, Zhengbo, Shengyuan, Jialida, Huawei, Yueming, Kaitian, Senmao, Yonghua, Dais, Zhengrun, Kangli, Hongming, Hörauf and Lishunyuan will also offer strong support to the exhibition and feature their own folding carton processing solutions on-site.

To comply with the latest drug electronic monitoring system and policies issued by the State Food and Drug Administration, and to help medicine packaging and printing companies rapidly develop business channels in electronic monitoring printing, SinoFoldingCarton 2011 will, for the first time, have an Electronic Monitoring Code Zone. Reputable electronic monitoring code solution suppliers, such as Beijing Founder, Beijing Shield Science and Technology, Beijing Mengtai, Yuanchuang and Tiancen, will be featured there to showcase new technologies and equipment for producing drug electronic monitoring codes.

Diverse On-Site Activities
To attract key trade professionals and global buyers, as well as to increase the value of SinoFoldingCarton 2011, the organisers will run several high-level activities concurrent to the actual exhibition. One such activity will be a showcase of exquisitely crafted, well-known brands of cigarette labels. In this feature, 30 boxes of highly anti-counterfeit cigarette labels with new Chinese epigrams will be displayed to cigarette label producers or companies interested in the cigarette label market.

Selected winners of the 2009-2010 ‘World Star’ competition will also have their most advanced high-end products and designs displayed. These will all be new innovations for the folding carton industry and will include carton structure, manufacturing processes, usage and material selection. The ‘World Star’ feature will showcase the high potential of Chinese packaging design innovation.

The Packaging, Printing and Fortune Series Summit will examine post-press finishing; new opportunities brought by printing and packaging and environmental protection initiatives through a series of lectures. Alongside it, the Electronic Monitoring Code Seminar will look at the application of changeable printing technologies to drug monitoring codes. The recent history, future prospects and emerging development trends of electronic monitoring codes will all be analyzed.

The Chanyetuan group purchasing activity will provide the most competitively priced packaging and printing equipment, as well as consumables, to packaging and printing companies. Companies that form syndicates to buy products through on-site will be thrilled with the discounts they secure. Alongside the group buying, the Komori Infotech Delegation activity will bring 100 folding carton industry professionals to visit Beijing Artron Color Printing Co. Ltd. Additionally, companies like Koenig & Bauer AG, Sandvik and Domino will hold special technology lectures at the exhibition to discuss the impact of the latest technologies, cutting-edge equipment and market information.

As China’s economic center and the folding carton industry chain migrate northwards, the region’s folding carton packaging and printing industry is beginning to explore its huge development potential. SinoFoldingCarton 2011 will provide folding carton packaging companies with a crucial platform via which to display, evaluate and purchase manufacturing solutions. More importantly, it will also facilitate development and improvement of the folding carton packaging industry across North China.
