Societe de Vin Internationale LTEE, a leading supplier of fine wines, beers, and alcomalts, based in Laval, Quebec, has made its debut in plastic packaging, introducing the first 1 Liter PET wine bottle for the North American airline industry.
Growth opportunities for blow moulders, especially those in PET, are in no short supply. Researchers suggest that the latent potential for PET barrier bottles in beer, wine, and milk is equivalent to the current size of the carbonated soft drinks (CSD) market for PET bottles in Europe, which was just under 1 million tonnes in 2010.
The ASB-150DPW will be demonstrated, running a 14-cavity jar mold and producing 3360 bottles/hr. The machine demonstration is also supported by DAK Americas (PET resin), AF Compressors (HP compressor), and Universal Dynamics (resin dryer).
The industry’s first all-natural protein water has been launched in lightweight hot fill containers from Amcor Rigid Plastics, significantly reducing weight and cost while offering better performance than competitive hot fill alternatives.
