Bta & Hispack will be held from 11 to 15 May 2009 at the Fira de Barcelona`s Gran Via venue in a total surface area of 90,000 m2 and will have 3,500 exhibitors. Approximately 60,000 professional visitors from around the world will gather at this trade fair with the aim of finding out about a wide range of technology and machinery products capable of meeting those needs present in the food and beverage production chain - from the ingredient to the packaging via the production process.
Arburg wouldn`t be Arburg if it weren`t constantly thinking up new well thought-out ways of expanding the modular Allrounder range. One new addition relates to the movement axes on the largest electric model to date, the Allrounder 570 A with a clamping force of 2,000 kN. In addition to the largest, size 800, electric injection unit, a hydraulically actuated, accumulator driver injection axis is now available in conjunction with the size 1300 injection unit. This permits much higher injection performance, injection speed and dynamism.
Ticona Engineering Polymers introduced a new Hostaform long glass fiber acetal copolymer (POM) that delivers better performance than standard reinforced thermoplastic polymers. Ticona designed this long glass reinforced fiber POM to become the industry`s choice of material in a variety of structural applications such as automotive, appliances and gears.

We're talking here about the Rebhan packagings made of Glass Polymer, an innovative plastic from Eastman Chemicals. What does Glass Polymer mean, we hear you ask? Well, it's a modified copolyester and it was developed specifically for the production of thick-walled glass look-alike plastic containers.
